Multi-omics analysis for ferroptosis-related genes as prognostic factors in cutaneous melanoma
“In the field of melanoma research, a team of experts has developed a prognostic model based on ferroptosis-related genes (FRGs), which could offer new insights into personalized treatment and therapeutic outcomes for melanoma patients. By analyzing genetic alterations and mRNA expression of FRGs in melanoma samples, the researchers identified 13 FRGs associated with overall survival prognosis. The model, validated with external datasets, also showed significant differences in immune cell infiltration and predicted responses to immunotherapy and drug sensitivity between high- and low-risk groups.”
